The angle of the arrangement was similar to that selected by Alberto Sartoris in his representation. This angle covered different facades as well as the central void. These spaces are less focused on productivity all-in-all they are different physical components coming together to facilitate the implementation of abstracted functions of a particular mobile application. Amazon app is a part of the e-commerce industry and one of the largest online retailers with the vision of Earth's most customer-centric company and to build a place where people come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online. The space developed is for the Amazon app, where Filter and Discount are the core functions employed in the design. The concepts showcasing the feature of 'filter' were to show variation, Radiation, Similarity, narrowing down, Common region, Accuracy, swift, and that of 'Discount' was Ease and Inbuilt. The space features different slits of filters, each with a different mechanism and human interaction. Discount, as a function, has been developed using two distinct pathways - one being an ordinary way while the other slightly elevated, making the child travel a greater distance and apply greater strength to reach near the main screen. Aniruddha Nafrey : : : : : : : : : : : The main aim of the design is to create workstations for both, Shah Diamonds and Digital Marketing, in the same office space. The space has been planned such that the offices get maximum privacy, and a user would pass by all common areas before reaching the offices, including a semi - open cafeteria and the display area of the Shah Diamonds along the passageway, before approaching a common spot, which clearly indicates the entrances to the two offices. The main demarcation of spaces is by the theme of colours chosen for the offices. The Shah Diamonds office assumes a grey theme, since the diamonds in the scrutinising area would be easily identified in contrast, and it also blends the carpet colour for sound proofing. The Digital Marketing adopts a white and bright showy colour theme, which also supports the usage of curved walls in the layout. Each space has a separate pastel colour assigned to it. Narrative: What would happen if Google never existed? Would we still hunt down encyclopedias or maybe we would surrender to Siri and Alexa as Goddesses of knowledge. What would be the implications of not being able to ‘GOOGLE’ anything? Boy, oh, Boy, online exams would be tough for sure! This illustration explores the idea of an alternate history wherein Google doesn’t exist. Instead of visualizing an alternate after-scene, the motive was to explore the physical manifestation of the virtual space. Today, Google holds a huge blueprint in the virtual world. The author urges to ask the question if this (virtual)space was taken away, what would it look and feel like?

Amey Ghosalkar : : : : : : : : : : : The Jawahar Kala Kendra Arts Center located in Jaipur was commissioned by the Rajasthan government to preserve Rajasthani Arts and Crafts. The plan of Jaipur city is based on the nine square Yantra wherein one square is displaced and 2 central squares combine. They have high walls, symbolic of the fortification wall along the Jaipur old city. Externally, the planets appear on the red sandstone facades as symbols inlaid in white marble and granite. The central courtyard appears an abstraction of the kund type of the step well. The steps are used as seating and simulating interactions for the community, like the traditional kund. The transitional space acts as a threshold between interiors and exteriors like the traditional houses, the narrow opening and a semi-covered area which is used by women, making a set back and creating a stepped profile. The design conveys a matter of accidental encounter and discovery - on instincts and inclinations of a person moving through space. Framing views and layering is used as a concept in traditional architecture of the region. The patterns are influenced from the traditional geometry that create visual composition around the courtyard walls. Indian Music has helped convey the social problems and in creating conversations in society. “It is remarkable how every element in the universe originates from a sound vibration and hence it is no wonder how music can harness nature. Its instantaneous pleasing effect can be an answer to misery.” In ancient history, people use to gather to solve difficulties and provide solutions for the same via ART FORMS such as dance or music. This was done so that the people can comprehend those in a better way. Their social and cultural associations can be understood to extract symbols and create meaningful architecture. However, these classical ragas are now getting eroded in the entire system of globalization and in exchanging value art forms globally. The western classical concepts of music when are getting introduced to the country are mixed or rather creating fusions to reach out to more audiences at a global level but more with the economic purposes, and somewhere in that process the true Indian Music is getting aside and as it is one of the intangibles, after some years, it will only be in people’s memories and records. These ancient Indian origin ragas are needed to be revived, restored and preserved immediately. This suggests building social capital, better mental health and quality of life. The qualitative research practised holds two independent approaches; to identify the ragas and their impacts on biodiversity and thereafter investigate the statement ""Architecture is frozen music"" by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Interestingly, the unbiased study reveals the fused state between frozen music and liquid architecture throughout the process and comes from a deep understanding that, in its very essence, architecture exceeds building and music exceeds sound. The research findings indicate the approach of the intervention will be celebrating and reviving Indian Classical Music and defining its relation to biodiversity via architecture and suggesting easy ACCESSIBILITY to the art form. Simultaneously, it will be a creation of a common platform for Indian origin artists, the true listeners, learners and worshipers. The thesis will be decoding and translating the intangible components of music into visual, physical, spatial architecture. This will be an opportunity to explore the interrelationship between architecture and Indian classical music in the LOCAL CONTEXT and contribute to the dissemination of classical music, student-oriented activities and nature conservation at an urban level. A structure that is developed from the architectural roots of the place and developed with a modern approach - creating a space for the office. This structure would be a part of the overall development of the Island hence the creation of an iconic structure that will be the catalyst for the Bold move was the aim. While considering the urban fabric, micro points such as user study, site responsive design, was taken into consideration leading to a perfect blend of the architecture. Massing was finalized based on the site response. Play of volumes was established for the creation of a healthy environment. A massive staircase was built that connects the entire elevation and is colored with Red- emphasizing the bold movement. The spaces were defined and placed apart creating a walkable distance from the adjacent buildings. These transitional zones are integrated with immense views of the surroundings. From Gehry’s sketches flow the models, one after another, each a refinement, that will eventually become finished buildings unlike any others in the architectural world. It is this sketch quality, what he calls the “tentativeness, the messiness,” that Gehry clings to as a way of guarding against formula or repetition. And it is this sketch quality that Sydney Pollack was so keen to explore in the film SKETCHES OF FRANK GEHRY Beginning with Gehry’s original sketches for each major project, Pollack’s film explores Gehry’s process of turning these evanescent, abstract drawings into tangible, three-dimensional forms: finished buildings of titanium and glass, concrete and steel, wood and stone. Working closely with his colleagues, Gehry takes his sketch ideas and, as quickly as possible, makes them three-dimensional, the better to see how his buildings work, how they fit with their neighbours, how they function most essentially. The site is adjacent to the eastern coast of Mumbai, in between the docks of Mazgaon. The micro context where the site sits has peculiar buildings, typically of the Mumbai port trust. The design looks at how a maritime campus should also be accommodating healing–serving functions as well as mental needs. The idea was to give the institute its character and privacy in a dominating industrial context that trains cadets to be thoroughly qualified in their skill sets for the harsh seas. The spaces needed a physical quality that would shape a cadet's personality, physical strength, sense of readiness, theoretical and practical knowledge by emphasizing their connection to the sea, a never-ending source of wonder, inspiration, and hope. Yashwant Pitkar : : : : : : : : : : : The drawing is an amalgamation of two arguments wherein, Argument 01 talks about the current economic pattern in the nation that indicates evident prevalent of the sense of deprivation, in the population of rural as well as the emerging urban contexts of India, whereas, Argument 02 talks about the rural population, to be precise, drifting apart from the age old local construction methodologies due to the rising misconceptions of their households & methods being generalized as temporary solutions for a shelter. Merging the two arguments, it can be concluded that the ill effects of the existing economic pattern directly has an impact on the rural population & their local & traditional architectural practices. The rural population in the present day is quite efficiently targeted, influenced & manipulated by the commercialization agendas. Misconceptions rise up within the rural population, wherein owning commercialized goods & living an urban life are seen as measures of development. This gives rise to large scale migration of the rural population to the neighboring urban centers. Eventually this gives rise to mass Brain Drain in the rural contexts of the nation. As per the theory, Brain Drain at one end results in Brain Gain at the opposite end, thus maintaining an equilibrium. But, the mass migration is destined to urban centers of Tier 1 or 2, where the market is dominantly run & based on mass production, hence resulting in exploitation of the rural population. The existence & domination of mass producing industries negates the theory which hampers the equilibrium. Fragmenting down to rural architecture & rural economy, they function in parallel to eachother. If the economy revolves within the community or the village under consideration, based on the principles of self-sufficiency, a decentralized economic pattern can be achieved. The local governing bodies can ensure, through the government policies that are drafted in favor of rural development, the issues to be resolved on a grass root level, with the community, by the community & for the community.
