The society comprises three wings with 16 floors each. The water from the BMC line reaches the underground tank. Two additional tanks store borewell water for fire and flushing purposes. From here it flows to the pump room which is responsible for it reaching the overhead tank of all the wings. In each wing, four pipes carry the water from the overhead tank to the flats. These pipes have been color coded. Three of the pipes provide water to five floors each. The fourth one provides only the sixteenth floor. This has been done to maintain uniformity in the pressure at which water is being supplied to all floors. The water consumed by the entire society per day has been estimated to be 142560 liters. Approximate dimensions for the underground and overhead tanks have been determined through further calculations.
