This exercise helped develop composition skills by referring to examples from encyclopedia spreads. These spreads are a combination of pictures and text. The exercise focused on representation and detailing, in order to improve the composition skills. It helped us to visualize various texts in a graphical format on an A3 sheet to be viewed as an encyclopedia spread. Alignment, text sizes, fonts, color schemes, margins and gutters were taken into consideration while designing the spread.
