DYSFUNCTIONAL DELUSION

A quaint old village with strange berries
It feels like butterflies fluttering in my veins
Her cheeks so red like the mysterious berries,
She's trapped my heart in smouldering flames

Jill begins her day happy yet typical,
Soon notices a shadow; Is someone following her?
Encounters jack around the berry farm; strangely unusual,
Conspiring to catch that familiar stalker.

"Let's climb up the hill", muttered Jill
Knowing they would be followed by one who sought her;
And so Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.

Waiting for the stalker to be found,
Abruptly, a man gushes; followed by a disaster,
Jack falls down and breaks his crown,
Jill comes tumbling after.

Waking up feeling dizzy as ever,
Finding the strange berries around
Gaining his senses however,
"I wonder why are my hands red and brown?"
