Competition Brief:
The Competition “ARTTECHTISM Design-a-muse” aims to celebrate the parallel disciplines by intertwining the two and developing an Art-inspired Architecture.
Narrative:
Design-a-muse competition is aimed at visualising an abstract art as a three-dimensional form. It began from understanding a 20th century abstract art style, choosing any one artform from it and extruding its essence in a structure.
Suprelion is a public installation inspired by the Suprematist painting ‘The 18th Construction’. Emotions are evoked by colours and textures- this is the principle used in suprematism and thus the painting selected. Each part of the installation invokes a distinct feeling when approached visually or physically. These feelings are inspired from the components in the painting. ‘The 18th construction‘ is a completely abstract painting that is open for interpretation while following the principles.
