Svalbard is a Norwegian archipelago between mainland Norway and the North Pole. One of the world’s northernmost inhabited areas, it's known for its remote terrain of glaciers and frozen tundra sheltering polar bears, a great example of how people can live in the most inhospitable places. Its serene environment serves as a blank canvas for the creative minds and the northern lights attract tourists all year round. These portable tiny homes are meant to be used as flexible work spaces for photographers, artists, stargazers and tourists alike. The concept was to combine off-grid living with Working and to design a self-contained space big enough to call home, yet small enough to take anywhere. A site where ‘nature decides everything and we are the guests’, so also these houses are portable, sustainable and allow occupants to connect with nature.
