Competition Brief:
Redefining Platitudes demands all members to choose an existing drawing or illustration from their previous projects and develop a narrative which is distinctive from the existing narrative of that project by exploring new mediums, textures, graphic styles, and rendering styles.
Narrative:
The primary graphic illustrates a centipede which is associated with SUPERSTITIONS.
The 2nd graphic has maze sort of visual & the light,vibrancy ,which is associated with the SARASWATI SYMBOL which further aligns with education/knowledge and the vibrant colors are linked to the idea that education brings light and colours into our lives.
The 3rd graphic was a composition of curves and circles, such that the circle is divided into 2 semicircles and are faced opposite to each other, which further associates with the “YIN YANG'' sign. The Yin, the dark swirl, is associated with shadows, femininity, and superstitions; the Yang, the light swirl, represents brightness, passion,growth and education.
The overall idea elaborated on “ समाजाला लागलेली कीड”.
