Landscape in an urban environment is quickly depleting, especially in the city of Mumbai. There are very patches, where one would encounter them, and even rarer are those where the built and unbuilt coexist to create a beautiful ecosystem. On these lines, a street showcasing these characteristics was chosen in South Bombay. This is an important street which connects the Marine Drive to Oval Maidan, and Cricket Club of India (CCI) as well. The vegetation has not been disturbed and allowed to grow in its natural way. This project focuses on understanding the relationship between these 2 ecosystems, their advantages and drawbacks. I have made a few observations of how vegetation helps in affecting the quality of space, light, living, textures ,etc.
